TIGHTER CONTROLS TO BE IMPLEMENTED ON TRANSSHIPMENT CARGO VIA SOUTH AFRICA

Recently, Thrutainers International have received numerous requests to amend HBL's for transshipment cargo into Africa.

These requests are usually received after the vessel has departed the South African Port, and this timing places all parties at unnecessary and increased risk.

Most of the destinations in Africa utilise a government warehouse and late changes to documentation also have an impact on the required protocols.

We wish to inform all our customers and agents that with immediate effective, Thrutainers International will no longer be accepting amendments once the vessel has departed South Africa.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
