The moderate tropical cyclone has intensified to an intense tropical cyclone during the night. The tropical cyclone,
Giovanna was located at 4.30 in latitude 16.6 degrees south and longitude 60.2 degrees east, at about 460km to
the north-north-east of Mauritius.
Cyclone Giovanna remains a threat for Mauritius if it follows in this direction.
The next Bulletin will be issued at 10am today and note that if warning is changed to class 3 and maintained until
Monday, office will be closed until further notice.
