PHYSICAL COPIES OF DRO AND BOE DOCUMENTS NO LONGER REQUIRED WHEN COLLECTING GROUPAGE CARGO AT ICS

This notice ( v13 ) is on behalf of INTERMODAL CARGO SOLUTIONS ( ICS ).

Once again we would like to express our thanks to all the Groupage Operators, Clearing Agents and Transporters who have made the switch to our Groupage Online Rapid Booking System (RBS).

We hope our RBS process has not only helped facilitate the release and dispatch of groupage cargo, but also reduced the need to handle and distribute multiple layers of documents to third parties.

We would like to inform all Groupage Operators, Clearing Agents and Transporters that by completing RBS, there is no longer a need to bring the Delivery Release Order ( DRO ) or Bill of Entry ( BOE ) documents when arriving at ICS to collect groupage cargo. The Transporter need only bring the appointment sheet that is generated after completion of the RBS process; this can be a hard / physical copy or an electronic version ( i.e. on a mobile device ).

By eliminating the need to present multiple documents when collecting groupage cargo, Clearing Agents/Transporters are not only saving resources but also boosting their cargo security and IMPORTANTLY PREVENTING THE SPREAD OF CV19

As the country prepares for an extended lockdown, we once again thank you for working together to overcome the challenges we face during this COVID-19 pandemic.
